The emulators, and where they come from.
PolyConsole runs on this page with emulators written by other people, each one built for the browser from its own project's source. Here is every one it loads, its license, and the exact source it was built from.
Each emulator is its own WebAssembly module, built with Emscripten from the commit listed beside it, with nothing of PolyConsole's linked in. PolyConsole talks to it through the standard libretro interface, the way it opens an emulator library everywhere else. The emulators are built in the open and served, with their source, from their own site:
- cores.poly-console.com serves every module, and lists each one with the archive of the exact source it was built from.
- polyconsole-cores is the build: build.sh, which clones each project at its commit, applies any patch, compiles it and links the module, and the one patch, which gives one function in MAME 2003-Plus a single declaration so the WebAssembly linker accepts it. Every build is a release there, with each emulator's source attached.
Several of these emulators allow only non-commercial use. PolyConsole is free, carries no ads, and takes no payment, and these emulators are offered here on those terms.

Also inside the emulator modules
- Emscripten runtime and system libraries, MIT OR NCSA. Its bundled musl libc is MIT; libc++, libc++abi and compiler-rt are Apache-2.0 with the LLVM exception.
- zlib, Zlib. Linked into PCSX ReARMed and FinalBurn Neo.
PolyConsole, the app around these emulators, is made by Shon Thomas. Names of systems and games belong to their owners. PolyConsole ships no games: you bring games you own, and they stay in your browser.
